Below is the obituary for my cousin's son. My aunt, that would've been this baby's great grandma, was left out of the obituary in the state paper. I wanted to acknowledge her, at least in this way, because she was quite the devoted PARENT to Josh, and would be destroyed at the loss of this precious baby had she been alive to meet him.

JOSHUA CLAY “J.C.” PIERCE JR., of Mabelvale, infant son of Josh and Allison Delaney Hunt Pierce, died Saturday, December 6, 2008. Joshua was born August 6, 2008, in Benton, Ark.

Survivors include his parents; one sister, Ally Pierce of Mabelvale, Ark.; maternal grandparents, Donna Hunt and Charles Hunt Sr. both of Bauxite, Ark.; paternal grandparents, Lisa Tyrone of Mabelvale, Ark., and Jeffrey Pierce of Haskell, Ark.; great grandparents, Linda and Albert Jr. Jeffcoat of Benton, Ark., Sam Hunt of Little Rock, Ark., and Brenda Pierce of Haskell, Ark.; one uncle, Charles Hunt Jr. of Bauxite, Ark.; one aunt Kayce Poe of Benton, Ark.; and numerous cousins and relatives. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mary Neely, and his great grandparents Betty Reaves Harrison and Garland Harrison, and also a great grandfather, John Tyrone.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Hwy. 5 Baptist Church in Alexander with Brother Steve Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Social Hill Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Ark. (501) 455-1067.
