Ugh. Rain.

Monticello has gotten a TON of rain. Depending on who you ask, or what station you listen to, the amounts have been said to be as high as ten inches of rain in the last two days. We are expecting a lot more tonight, apparently.

We had two days of no water this weekend. We had no electricity today, but thankfully, it is restored, at least for the moment, for my house. My internet and cable are up and down. If anyone emails me, and I don't answer, this is why. There are a lot of residents in Drew County that are literally flooded in. Roads are impassable. You can't travel Hwy 133. There are too many trees down, and it is under water in several places. There are trees down all over, actually.

There are many people still without lights. According to the recording on Entergy's outage report line, a lot of them will be without them for several more days. I hope we aren't added to that list. This reminds me of the wonderful ice storms we typically see here, but I have never ever ever seen this much water!!!!

Girl you're not kidding! I could not believe Monticello schools were open Wednesday! Clayton had to go to work early b/c of all of the wrecks and road hazards and he gave me strict instructions, "DO NOT LEAVE THIS HOUSE!"

Our lights were 'only' out about 14hrs.. I'm SO THANKFUL they came on yesterday afternoon. So many are still without. It's so hot, and so humid, and so DARK with no electricity. :(
