Remember
the Americans that lost their life today. Above is Todd Beamer, one of the most memorable American heroes of my lifetime. I wanted his smiling face to greet you this morning. We need to have a face in mind when we think of him. I know everyone remembers where they were on this date. Please remember to be thankful that you were blessed enough to NOT be on those planes or in those buildings. Please remember to be thankful that neither was your family. Please remember the courage that the people like Todd Beamer had, in order to MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN. I was home on the real September 11th, making a call to the NICU at UAMS to check on my preemie daughter. I actually still have the calendar that I had at the hospital from where I was there myself, with Sept 11 circled and highlighted. That was the day we wanted her to make it to. That would've been 32 weeks gestation. So I am the only person you know that thought I was going to have a major celebration to see that day arrive. Karsyn's plan was not to have that day for her birthday.
People that don't use proper flag ettiquette are a pet peeve of mine. I am very picky about using it in photography shoots for that reason. Lets be respectful of our flag, especially today. Too many have died protecting our great country for us to be any other way.

None of us should ever forget this day and all of the wonderful people who lost their lives from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. My thoughts and prayers will be with them and their families today...
Great post. I hope everyone remembers.
Todd Beamer's last words known to us were "Are you ready?" "Let's roll!" as he led the fight to take over the plane from the terrorists.
