paint.

The painting is coming along well, but is the slowest process ever. We have a massive amount of wallspace to cover. Each wall takes three coats of primer, and THEN we can actually paint it. What a pain.

Anyway, we are slowly getting it done. We should close on the purchase of it sometime this week. Our new bedroom suite stuff is in, but we still have to go to Conway and get it.

I am so ready to get all the boxes out of my living room!

Oh man.. painting is the pits. We had to use a lot of primer when we bought our house, too. Carter's room was originally this REALLY dark Hunter Green, it almost looked black! Now it's a neutral beige color... do you know how hard it is to turn blackish green into light beige?

Also, we tore out walls and hung new sheet-rock.. now THAT sucks up some paint! sheesh!

Let us know if you need anything!

Andy actually likes painting. I get bored after like one wall. Can't wait to see pics!

Try painting a dark red over a very light colorerd wall, then we'll talk....the first four coats are pinkish. It took as much paint to cover our living room as it did our game room.

I feel your pain.

I hate to paint....but I love the results. The torture will be worth it in the long run!

Okay so Andy said to use some really good, oil-based primer and you only need one coat. The stuff we use is called Z-Prime Plus. It stinks and is very hard to clean off of brushes and rollers, but it works wonders. Let me know if you have questions.

That is what I was going to say.. A GOOD primer only takes one coat. Good luck!

we have the best latex primer you can buy. My migraines will not tolerate oil based. Plus, the current owners live there for now, and I would not subject them to that horrible smell.
