Pool death

I had never heard of anything like this.

It's scary to consider. Even when you are watching your kids, terrible things can happen. Water has always scared me.

I was that mom that kept my kids in 5 point restraint carseats until they were 4 years old, too, lol! Mine have never known what it's like to sit in a front seat of my car, and I am wondering if they will be ready to drive before they do. It's one of those pointless risks. Air bag death is a very real risk, and I just can't do it, even with my almost 7 and 8 year olds.

So because of that worrisom side of me, I struggled with the buying 4 wheelers decision for a long time before deciding we were going to do it. We bought the lock and ride seats because they are as safe as it gets when it comes to atv's. My kids are surrounded on three sides, up to their shoulders. Considering we will be putting along in the woods on the way to the lake or the river, I am pretty comfortable with this. Can they still be dangerous? Yes, but no way nearly as much as they would be without them, and I control most of the factors based on how I drive. There's no way I would ever be the cool mom to let my kids get their own (like 50's or 90's) but I am also the mom that's scared to let my kids go snow skiing, because I feel they lack the reaction skills needed for this type thing.

I know my kids could break an arm on their swingset today....... And I try to give them room to play without standing over them, but it's hard!

My twins were premies and one of them did break her arm on a swing set. The pictures of your daughers says it all :) Relax, take the necessary precautions, and let everything else go in one ear and out the other!

Your girls will never forget the fun they had on their atvs!!
