An off the wall question from an off the wall person .....
What's your opinion of whether or not it is wrong to have tattoos?
My husband and I disagree on this, and I would like to know other people's thoughts.

Depends on whether you are wanting a biblical standpoint.Then that subdivides between new testament and old.A lot of people feel that is subject to the bibles interpretation.
But just as chrisitans are not supposed to be smokers,drug users,alcohol drinkers,they are not supposed to tattoo or pierce their bodies,as well.I will let those that know how...use the biblical references...
I think it's up to each individual person.
I think everyone has their own thoughts and views on tatoos!!! I have em....got one at a very young age and one not to long ago!!! I do not regret any of them! I think each person needs to decide if thats what they want or not!! Um the older generation is generally against them but times change!!! Me personally they are kind of addicting...once you get one you keep wanting them!!! owell enough on that....
I guess I need to say,that personally,I have no problems with them either.
I am not aware of any New Testament references that speak against tattoos. The only thing I can think of is the principle that our bodies are the "temple of the Holy Spirit," and perhaps some think that means we should not deface them?
However, if that's the case, we should also make sure they stay in excellent shape.... OUCH! ;)
