I thought they were all 18-19? Not that that makes it okay...

I found your blog through "Leading Little Hearts Home" and just have to comment on this. I was thinking the exact same thing the whole time I was watching it. I wonder what the kids' parents think about it.

This is going to be long-LOL

I actually thought that it could be an innovative idea with a little more thought behind it.As for the infants, not so much.

I have to be honest, being a teen mom myself,I learned everything I learned because it was handed to me and I was told do it.No explanations.I have been cooking since I was 7.Cleaning since before then and of course we all know that I started raising a child at a young age.Alot of people talk about how much my mother probably helped me,and I wont say that she didnt,BUT I was a latch-key kid to begin with.My mother worked a swing shift and she was single. She was home and awake for maybe 8 hours a day.Financially- being that my child is disabled, she drew SSI,and I had to learn to budget and save receipts as well as manage a checking account at 16.Everything I learned,I learned because of these situations.I think they are invaluable!Do I believe that kids should be "thrown into the fire" like that for learning opportunities? Not necessarily, but would I change it,NEVER!But that is just one chicks opinion.

Okay so just to keep from getting in a heated debate. Let's get real about this for a sec. 1. These kids aren't in this house, with their parent's permission b/c they are NOT having sex. There parents okay'd this b/c they wanted to show them what having sex leads to. 2. If it's anything like it is at my house, they are too tired to have sex anyway after a day of dealing with teething, crying, fits, feedings, ect...

I think it's good for them, but dealing with someone elses kid (on a TV show) is diffrent than dealing with your kid b/c you don't have a choice. They can techniquely cop out whenever. And I'm watching and it's surprising to me that the ones not doing so well are the girls!!

I've been watching this show because I'm facinated with the idea - that these kids are really learning what it is about...and 24 hours learning, I like that the real parents can step in anytime they want, but I do agree, I wish that they at least made the kids sleep in separate rooms.
