update

They are doing the biopsy now. The pain pump helped a lot, and they also put him on percocet with the morphine, so he is resting more. They have also started him on ambien at night. Still not allowed to eat or drink.

The "mass" is very large and has to be removed regardless of the biopsy results. He will be in the VA for at least two more weeks. After that, they are expecting him to be starting cancer treatments. They are checking to see if he is "maxed out" on radiation from his last bout with cancer. I don't know what happens if you are maxed out.

My mom will be home tomorrow night to wash clothes and refill her own meds and start over.

Keep us in your prayers. He is very upset that Jordan cried when he talked to her last night. He and Jordan are very close, and although she has been told very little, she knows something significant is going on.

I miss you girl. I just want your dad to be okay. I had tears inmy eyes reading this post. Being in the medical field, I know these things. Tell Jordan to hang in there....HUGS to you all!

Doesn't Jordan have an email address? If you send it to me, I will let Abigail write her an email today. Let me know.

Take good care of yourself too! You need physical strength to help your Dad.

"Religion is based ... mainly on fear ... fear of the mysterious, fear of defeat, fear of death. Fear is the parent of cruelty, and therefore it is no wonder if cruelty and religion have gone hand in hand.... My own view on religion is that of Lucretius. I regard it as a disease born of fear and as a source of untold misery to the human race." [Bertrand Russell]
Fear not. Rely upon the knowledge of the dr's. Their intelligence and mastery of their skill will bring healing.
