Which one do you use? I use a NIV and a Message Bible. Typically I read from the NIV first, then refer to the message if I need some guidance. The message should not be your "only" bible, in my opinion, but I do think it fits very well as a reference tool.

Dean recently re-blogged (is that a word?) about people that are hard core about King James being the only correct version. He linked his old post, and also another blog. So far, there are no comments. I think at times Dean is unknowingly intimidating with his biblical knowledge, therefore inadvertantly "scares people off" from commenting because we know we don't share his backwards and forwards education about the bible. There's no way people can say that about MY blog though, so what do you think, haha! Let me clarify, if you do want to comment over on Dean's page, rest assured he won't bite your head off, even if you disagree with him. He's pretty harmless....
