word for word, stolen from my friend Brittany's blog on her myspace

I feel in my spirit that someone needs to read this tonight and be encouraged with the fact that the Lord has not forsaken you and you are not walking through your trials alone. Let's face it... sometimes life is just plain hard and it seems that way for no good reason at all. It would be easy to just throw in the towel and quit and live life recklessly without caring about anyone or anything, but that sure isn't the way that God desires for us to live. You ever thought that the Lord may be bringing you through tests and trials in your life just to get you to acknowledge His presence? Just to get you to wake up and call on His name. To get you to realize that in your own strength, you are helpless. As I was listening to this song tonight, I just felt so strongly that someone needs to hear this. The song is called "Take You Through the Fire Again". I'm sure many of you have heard it before, but I pray that as you read the lyrics below, you will realize just how mighty God is and understand that you are not defeated. If you serve the Risen Savior, you do not have to fight your battles alone. God bless you.

"Take You Through the Fire Again" - The Crabb Family

So many times I've questioned certain circumstances

Or things I could not understand

Many times in trials, weakness blurs my vision

That's when my frustrations get so out of hand

It's then I am reminded that I've never been forsaken

I've never had to stand one test alone

When I look at all the victories, the Spirit rises up in me

And it's through the fire my weakness is made strong

He never promised that the cross would not get heavy and the hill would not be hard to climb

He never offered our victories without fighting but

He said help would always come in timeJust remember when you're standing in the valley of decision and the adversary says give inJust hold on, my Lord will show up and He will take you through the fire again
I know within myself that I would surely perishBut if I trust the mighty hand of God, He'll shield the flames again
He never promised that the cross would not get heavy and the hill would not be hard to climbJust hold on, our Lord will show up and He will take you through the fire againJust hold on, our Lord will show up and He will take you through the fire again
