My weekend!
It's only Saturday and I have already had a great holiday weekend. Michael and I (and the kids) went over to the Sipes' house for some more good grillin' and visiting. We also got to spend some time with Michael and Blake Burns, and Jadyn Cooper, too!
I had sent my kids to my parents to spend the night, but ended up going back to get them because of getting into trouble at school for......TALKING. What a shock. But talking wasn't all Karsyn did, she also got a note about being disrespectful, and basically, being a hard head. So, needless to say, she got a spanking and is now grounded.
Jordan got a "mark" on her discipline card for "Listening to her friend to talk her, rather than focusing on the teacher. Her punishment was much milder. I do want them to obey, 100%, but am not too harsh when it's "little" things like that. So, she is grounded from the computer, meaning no webkinz.
As for Karsyn, she is being a PILL for Mrs. Koone. I think I am going to have to call her for a conference. I don't know why she has developed this terrible, negative attitude in the last two weeks, but one way or another, she IS getting an attitude adjustment.
But, back to the fun part of my weekend. We got up early and went to Huddle House to eat with Jenny and Jason and JC before Michael had to head to work. Then Jason graciously took all three girls home with him so Jenny and I could yard sale!! It's nice to have friends that have husbands that are willing to babysit!
Jenny and I RACKED up. She got some beanie babies for Jadyn, a plastic storage basket for Jadyn, some books, and tv trays. We even got some awesome books for the kiddos at church for super cheap. (We also got a chance to drive by and honk at TJ while he was mowing. I think we may have startled him a bit........)
I got TONS of books for me, some cool nautica pjs, a gown & jeans for Karsyn, some shorts with "Jordan" embroidered on them for my other kiddo, and lots of Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary books. (I even got some Babysitters Club) I bet I ended up with 20 books for Jordan, all of them chapter books, and she is soooo happy! Her reading level is out of this world and I am so happy she loves to read like I do. I got some easy reader for Karsyn too, and hopefully she will be into those soon.
Tonight we are babysitting Jake and Kaly for Kacy. I think we are probably going to head to Star City to the Barbeque shop, but not positive.
All in all, a great weekend!
