The Hines family

I think it's pretty fair to say, that if you know me, you know I often tote a little blonde bundle with me, named Jagger Hines. He is the son of the person pictured above (with my daughter).
His mom, Dana and I, have been friends for literally about 20 years. For me, going to her parents house, is basically like going home. They are the most normal, loving, hardworking people you will ever meet. She also has 3 brothers, and their families are around there a lot too, so I know all of them as well. It's crazy to see how old all her nieces and nephews have gotten!

People often express questions about me keeping him, overnight, since he was a couple of weeks old. Well, it's because to me, he is my family. He is of course not my blood relative, but Michael and I love him like he is. It's a pretty easy thing to do, because he is quite lovable!
I have always loved babies in general, so keeping him isn't really a "job" to me, because I enjoy getting to take part in this baby stage again

I am blessed to get to love on him whenever I want to. I am also blessed with all the little ones I get to spend time with at church. Nothing is better than a hug from Karis, or a big smile from Kate when I tell her I love her big girl clothes! Jadyn Cooper's curls bouncing when she runs to me always makes me grin.

My kids also love Jagger as well. I think him being here a lot is a good learning experience for them. They know how to hold him correctly, and how to be patient with him. To them, he is a living baby doll.

And then there is Mike. He is by far Mike's biggest fan. He LOVES to dive out of my arms into Mike's. I love that Michael is a baby person. He enjoyed loving on Kaitlyn at church Sunday so much, I honestly think he misses that stage too.

I went to Dana's today to make the signs for the parade car that Jagger will be riding on. He was down for a nap when I got there.

When he woke up, I went to his room to get him.

When he saw me, he clapped and smiled and stood and and reached for me. That makes it all worth it. Every minute lost to a sleepless night is instantly forgotten.
