What's your favorite?

Maybe I can't really call it my favorite Bible verse, because my favorite verse seems to change on a daily or weekly basis depending on what is happening in my life. However, there is one Bible verse that speaks to me and encourages me so much I could almost call it my favorite, but I am one of those people that won’t settle on ONE favorite song, either. I think it's my “favorite” Bible verse more often than any other Bible verse is my favorite, so maybe that does indeed make it my favorite…… ok enough rambling.
Here it is:

"And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after awhile we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't get discouraged and give up." Galations 6:9

How about you? Is there something you're tired of doing but you know it's the right thing? Are you ready to give up?
What verses encourage YOU?
I'd love to have lots of comments on this one, you never know who YOU might encourage.

Shelley you have no idea how much I needed that particular verse today! THANK YOU!

1 Corinthians 13:4
"Love is patient, love is kind.it does not envy.It does not boast,it is not proud. It does not dishonor others,it is not self seeking,it is not easily angered,it keeps no records of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preseveres."

This verse gives me a definition of who I want to be and how I want to be treated. And I constantly fail, but I strive again, daily.

Here is something I am tired of doing(since you asked LOL).
Sometimes, when someone has wronged me,offended me,hurt my feelings-I dont want to be nice-I want to scream and yell and say a few choice words and get it all out-but I choose my words and go on...because I know it is what I should do-am I ready to give up?NEVER!

ok... i had to double check, but you did say versES, so here are mine..

However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." (1 Cor 2:9)

and what i consider to be a companion verse of sorts to that...
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jer 29:11)

we can dream our biggest dream, set our most ambitious goals... they dont even begin to compare to what God has in store for us! we can't even comprehend the plans that God has for those who love Him and are called by Him!

and here's my youth ministry verse-
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Tim 4:12

although i'm far from young anymore, i've always dedicated this verse to the young people i've ministered to down through the years. to often, teens are referred to as "the church of tomorrow" which prety much makes them feel disenfranchised so far as the present ministries of the church are concerned. but if folks would just give young people the opportunity, they can do huge things for the Kingdom. THAT encourages ME!

Hello Shelley,
I found your site by chance and check in now and then. Your site is the first one I've found that talks about our Lord. I've not come across people, on line or in life, who want to talk about Him. In case you are wondering, I am a Christian and some of the people I am referring to are other Christians. The Lord is leading me in a direction I know not where, but I am beginning to enjoy this new journey.

Matthew 11:38
"Come unto me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. .....for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

God Bless.

Darlene
