READY FOR SCHOOL!

 

It's been a great summer. We have gone to Alabama & Florida to the beach, seen animal shows, gone to Wild River Country, Jump Zone, Chuck E Cheese, Family Camp, swimming almost daily, rented tons of movies, visited Moro Bay State park where we rode paddle boats, fed alligators, and rode the party barge. My kids have nothing to complain about! (Not that they don't....but they have no reason to)

 

I am ready for school to start back! They are too used to being "entertained" and I am out of ideas AND cash. Jordan has always loved school very much, and I am expecting the same reaction from Karsyn. She seems very pumped about the idea of going to school, and I am so glad I won't have a "crier" like some mom's will :( Jordan sure didn't cry when she started, she didn't even want anyone to walk her in after the first day. Little Miss Independant.

 

I am glad we live somewhere that has excellent public schools. Jordan is lucky enough to have two close friends in her class this year, and she is very happy about that.

 

Now it's time to plan Karsyn's birthday party. I am waiting on the people that rent the inflatable water slides in town to get back with me. We are trying to get something set in stone with them.
I can't believe my baby will be 6! Time has flown by. We actually enrolled her in school last year, but ended up pulling her out after a week because we felt she was not prepared. I enrolled her in Kid's World, and she absorbed the information like a sponge! Her first year, she made an 84 on the placement test, and this year, she made a 99. I am soooo glad we pulled her out and waited on her to mature and be ready. Her birthday is August 24, and she was barely old enough to start anyway.
So now, instead of having a 1st and 2nd graders, I have a kindergartener and a 2nd grader. I LIKE the gap :)
