Whodunit?
The number of butts in chairs does not mean anything if you don't also have the same number that have Christ in their hearts, and the best interests of everyone in mind.
In our small knit church, we are lucky that it is pretty generally non-clique-like. Although there are some that cling closer to some than others, it's safe to say we are all family.
I think the key to that is communication.
We all talk a lot at church, we email, we call, we blog, and we visit. We don't have a lot of downtime for chaos to arise. But at the same time, we are all humans, who can have miscommunications, and lose sight of the matter at hand, which is WHY we are all there in the first place.
We love the fellowship, yes.
We love the praise band.
We love to teach our children.
But is that WHY we are there?
Nope. It's Because we are on our Journey TOGETHER to Him.
All other issues pale in comparison when we step back, and view the big picture and think, hmmm...., is it God causing chaos when it occurs?
I don't think so.....
It's us. And Satan.
So it's gotta be US that fixes it. & NOT Satan that wins the battle.
We have to refocus on the matter at hand.
Our Savior, who we are worthless without.
W-O-R-T-H-L-E-S-S.

You know you are hitting home for right at this moment-but I bet you knew that:)
You and Jeff get together on your blogs. (smile). Love the blog especially that the number of butts in a chair doesn't matter if it many don't have Christ in their heart.
