My sweet baby Rufus has heartworms.....

Found out yesterday that Rufus has an almost certainly fatal case of heartworms. It is very advanced, and most likely untreatable at this point. Everyone that knows me knows I LOVE that dog, I am very upset about it and stressed. I can't imagine telling my kids we may have to put the big guy down..... :(

We are waiting (impatiently) to hear back from the drug company to see if there's any hope.
