To think it actually happened and watch it, is a whole other story. I can't bring myself to watch so much pain that is ultimately my fault!Mistyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08086691435722389750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3301433205520459454.post-49465816070782647292007-10-17T18:28:00.000-05:002007-10-17T18:28:00.000-05:00Just beautiful and exactly the way I feel right no...Just beautiful and exactly the way I feel right now....K.T. is Mommatudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05130828845169072102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3301433205520459454.post-60494555324262313262007-10-17T16:38:00.000-05:002007-10-17T16:38:00.000-05:00This picture is when we have completely reached th...This picture is when we have completely reached the bottom. Christ picks us up, says I forgive you and let me help you. He is soooooooooooo amazing and to be without him is torture. It's sad that for so long we struggle through life not even knowing we need him and then we look back at the train wreck of our lives and wonder what happened and again there he is to say "Take my hand and I will help you." I love the image of him holding us. What a comforting place to be.Brandihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01327509187597318240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3301433205520459454.post-29830207902548488962007-10-17T15:39:00.000-05:002007-10-17T15:39:00.000-05:00just a little fyi Brandy, when Michael and I went ...just a little fyi Brandy, when Michael and I went to the theater to watch the Passion of the Christ, I went and sat in the car and cried while he watched the end. Mary wiping up the blood after the beating made me feel like I was going to throw up...
it took seeing those parts for me to realize the magnitude of the physical pain.Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09624035112796384643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3301433205520459454.post-2194414240363033512007-10-17T14:56:00.000-05:002007-10-17T14:56:00.000-05:00did you know that i can't...er...maybe i should sa...did you know that i can't...er...maybe i should say won't... watch the passion of christ? nope. i think it is a wonderful movie, don't get me wrong...that has made tons of people think harder and deeper than they ever had about what christ did for us. anyway, it's one thing to watch fiction...but to watch something i know really happened...that kind of sacrifice, and pain for me when i'm the very one he did it for? can't do it.

and you know what else? when others have wronged me, and i "forgive" them....even though i think i've let it go, would i not only lay my life down for them, but pick them up and hold them close to comfort them, too? what an unexplainable thing it is god has done for us.Sugar-n-Spicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11846247502276445342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3301433205520459454.post-22335410815677489712007-10-17T12:01:00.000-05:002007-10-17T12:01:00.000-05:00My first thought, wow, how can He really love some...My first thought, wow, how can He really love someone who drives a spike into His flesh. (a little aside here... during the crucifixion scene in "the passion of the Christ" the hand we see holding the nail while the roman soldier pounds it through Christ's flesh, belongs to mel gibson, done as his acknowledgement of his own culpability in Christ's execution).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3301433205520459454.post-57764779467811629562007-10-17T08:12:00.000-05:002007-10-17T08:12:00.000-05:00A picture says a thousand words.
