The trip.
Ok there are a million pics in this post, so here's your warning, turn back now if you don't want to deal with it! The above pic is from one of the flights to Miami. No, I don't wear makeup to fly, so excuse me.
We stayed in Miami the first night, and drove through the keys the next, stopping in Key Largo for lunch.
This place had the best atmosphere. We had a great time listening to the steel drums, and the food was awesome.
If you know me, you know I had to take a pic with the jamaican musician. He thought I was a trip, can you believe that? I thought he was :)
The road trip was over 100 miles, but it was nice. We really enjoyed going through all the various keys.
We stayed at The Inn at Key West, and roamed around Duval like you are supposed to.
We took a boat at sunrise to Dry Tortugas. (Google it, it's amazing) Old military fort, where you can also snorkel.
We meet some wonderful people from Michigan who told us all about the fort, and where to snorkel. They made the trip a lot more fun.
That water makes Gulf Shores look like the sewer.
Snorkeling was WONDERFUL. We saw sharks, barracuda, rays, lots of little bright fish, tarpons, and etc etc. I took a disposable underwater camera, so I will share those when I get them back.
Here are a couple fort pics for Michael Burns! If you click any of the pics, it will take you to my flickr, where there are a lot more of them.
oops, random pic of us in the middle of the post... put that html code in the wrong spot...
Mallory Square has crazy street performers.
This one, www.thegreatrondini.com picked Mike as an assistant. He was NUTS! He answered Mike's cell phone when it rang... And cracked racial jokes that were tacky yet hilarious.
The actual sunset there.
Southernmost point in the continental USA
Our Hotel pool.
View from my balcony at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood
Here is the area where we snorkeled; around those posts were nurse sharks lingering on the bottom!
This island was amazing
on top of the fort
One of my fav pics of the island.
Ok, so I didn't narrate that too well, but you get the idea. The trip was beautiful. We celebrated 10 years of marriage yesterday.

Great pics. I am glad that you enjoyed your trip. And I can't imagine the Jamaica guy thinking you were a trip.
Love the pics and I love your dress in the last pic! Glad ya'll had a wonderful time!
seems i took the "anti-smith" florida trip at the exact same time you were there. we were in about the northernmost part of the state on business rather than vacation, but if anybody ever asks, i can always say "yeah, me and shelley were in florida last week."
he doesn't look old enough, but back in the 80's sometime, me and the ex were in jackson square, and some great rondini type guy pulled me out of the crowd and handcuffed me to this cute girl. i apparently didn't get in a big enough hurry to escape to suit my wife. that has nothing to do with anything, except those great rondini pics reminded me of that.
happy 10th anniversary!
Great photos! Looks like you two had a great trip. Happy Anniversary!!
How fun. Looks like you had a great time. Back to reality huh?
Shelley, what a special way to celebrate your 10th! This post is very special to me, because my parents were married in Key West in 1942. Dad died in '01 & Mom's in the hospital; I can't wait to take my computer over to her so I can show her your pictures from Key West!! I know she'll love them!
AMAZING,!!!!!!!!!,,,
