Mommy Monday

It sure is MONDAY.
I got up at 6 am to cook my kids breakfast, because for the first five years of their life I cooked breakfast basically every day.
Then I got a "real" job outside the house, and didn't have time, so they started eating cereal bars and poptarts and things of that nature.
So I think.......I am being a great mom, getting up a half hour early to cook.
But what did I hear at 6:25?

MOMMMMMMAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! Where's my POPTART!!!!!!!?????!!!???

So funny! I think that once you introduce those types of breakfasts there is just no turning back. Zoe LOVES toaster scrambles now. Have you seen these? They are sort of like poptarts... but with eggs and cheese in them.

Ya gotta love it!

I think your email program is eating all the messages I send you. I have sent you at least 5 emails over the past week and one message thru myspace. Are you ignoring me? ;)

what we do at the cottage, since our guys take turns a week at a time being responsible for the kitchen, is we alternate days "hot" and "cold" breakfast so everyone has he same amount of hot and cold breakfast days... but i've about decided that even buying the super size malt-o-meal bags of cereal, cooking hot breakfast is cheaper than eating cereal. especially since we have chickens that we get some of our eggs from. (we lost about half of them to the heat this summer though). since they have to get up about 45 minutes earlier than usual on their hot breakfast days, i doubt they'd go for cooking every day (they're also sugar fiends so they'd need their tootie frooties and marshmalow mateys every other day).
